Games

The games available on CrossGames21 are described below, explaining the characteristics of each one.

Both standard sudoku games and new games from our website are included based on the Sudoku board.

Standard Games

Standard Sudoku games are preferred by the public. Many of our users have been addicted to solving Sudoku games in newspapers, magazines and web applications for many years.

Standard games are classified according to the difficulty for the user. You can see the Level post where the different levels of difficulty offered by this game are detailed.

At Crossgames21 we define the first level or entry level under the name Beginners, which we recommend to new users to get familiar with the game. The next level in this group is Beginners+++, a bit more challenging than the initial one.

The most preferred level for regular users we call it Classic, and it has a slightly more difficult Classic+++ version.

For experts, we have the Advanced and Advanced+++ version. People who have long experience in solving these games and know the tricks and advanced techniques prefer this level of game to challenge themselves to their solution.

These 6 standard games are randomly generated and presented in our website.

The Daily and other Challenge Sudoku Games

We have a second category of games within the most advanced and difficult level.

In this group, one of the public’s favorites is the Daily Sudoku, a different Sudoku for each day, of advanced difficulty, with 21 visible cells.

The Challenge21 game, and the Extreme19 -with 21 and 19 visible numbers respectively- are the most difficult to solve, and are also shown randomly.

Autosolve

The Autosolve game is a sudoku game that has the characteristic that the user can activate and stop the auto solve mechanism, in such a way that while it is active the system advances automatically in the movement of numbers towards the board, and when stops, the user can continue solving the game by himself.

Geometrics

Geometric Sudoku is a version of the game in which the visible cells take on a geometric shape. In this game, the board grid does not have thick lines inside, to highlight the geometric figures used.

“5 Wrongs” Game

CrossGames21 have others nice games based en the Sudoku board. The “5 Wrongs” one, is a special game that shows the board with 81 numbers, 5 of which have been modified in such a way that they generate non-compliance with the main rule of Sudoku, that the numbers cannot be repeated in the same row, column or region.

The user must identify and touch the cells where these 5 errors are found to correct the board and make it correct.

In the first execution, as a test, the erroneous cells are shown with a colored background, in the following executions, the background color is the same for all the cells.

A good way to help find errors is to use the Guide option in the menu, which highlights the digits that the user touches on the board, allowing you to view rows, columns and regions where a number is repeated.

Castling Game

The Castling game owes its name to a classic chess move. In this case, a castling has been made between two of the rows on the board.

For example, if row 1 is castled with row 9, the original order of rows 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 is ordered 9,2,3,4,5,6 ,7,8,1

Castling two rows generates errors of non-compliance with the basic rules of Sudoku, appearing duplicate numbers in some regions. All duplicate numbers will be highlighted with a red background on the board

The player must touch the 2 castled rows to reset them to where they came from and correct all mistakes.

Drag & Drop Game

The Drag & Drop game is a game in which a row has been dragged to another place on the board, displacing the remaining rows. With this movement, errors with duplicate numbers in several regions are generated.

For example, the original order of rows is 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. The Row number 1 is dragged to the final row number 9. Then all the rows are displaced, so the new order of the rows is 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1. In this case, all the rows chan
